Our source of hope

God created this world and everything in it. His power, majesty and goodness is so far above anyone or anything else. We fall short of His goodness and cannot, in our own weak attempts at goodness, have a relationship with Him.

But God in His love and mercy, sent His Son Jesus to pay the penalty for our sin. Jesus died on the cross, was buried, and came back to life on the third day. He conquered death and sin so that we could have that relationship with Him. 

And what's even more amazing is that God gives this gift to us, free of charge. We don't have to work for it. In fact, God says we can't do anything to earn it. We only need to reach out and accept it. 

It sounds too easy, right? But that's what makes it difficult. We have to humble ourselves. We have to admit our sin against this Holy God. We have to admit that we are helpless to come to God on our own. We have to let go of our own feeble attempts to please God and understand that the only way we can please Him is by faith. 

Oh, my friend! the God of the Universe loves you! He is waiting for you to come to Him. God will never force you to love Him. Won't you accept the gift He has given, the payment of the penalty of your sin? God can give you hope for the future. He can give you joy, even in the dark times. God can give you a purpose far greater than anything you could do on your own.
